Please Talk is Ireland’s student-led mental health movement.  Your privacy is important to Please Talk and we encourage you to read this privacy statement. In order to carry on its work, needs to collect personal information about its website visitors, and partner organisations who may come into contact with Please Talk.  Please Talk is committed to having safeguards in place in keeping with with current Data Protection Regulations.  This applies to all data that Please Talk controls and processes, in other words where we determine how and for what your personal data will be used.

Please Talk does not hold data for longer than its intended purpose and has a review system in place in relation to data retention in order to ensure destruction of unnecessary data in a timely fashion.

Please Talk takes precautions to protect its members and service users’ information. Please Talk implements policies that forbid its employees and volunteers from using or disclosing personal data in an inappropriate or unlawful manner. It has procedures and security measures in place for both electronic and paper files to safeguard data and insure their timely and appropriate destruction.

We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about how Pleasetalk.org is used. Google Analytics collects information such as how often the site is visited, what pages are visited and when, what site was used prior to arriving at Pleasetalk.org.
